Coast Guard Station Tawas
Coast Guard Station Tawas' missions include Search and Rescue, Maritime Law Enforcement, Homeland Security, Ice Rescue, Recreational Boating Safety, Military Readiness, and Environmental Response. Station Tawas has the largest area of responsibility (AOR) in the Sector Detroit AOR and encompasses approximately 3,700 square miles with eight marinas.
