Coast Guard Atlantic Area
Master Chief Bach assumed the duties of Command Master Chief of Atlantic Area on May 8th, 2018, where he serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for all U.S. Coast Guard missions from the Rocky Mountains to the Arabian Gulf, spanning across five Coast Guard Districts and 40 states. Prior to being selected for his current assignment, Master Chief Bach served as the Command Master Chief for the Ninth Coast Guard District in Cleveland, Ohio.
Master Chief Bach served aboard the Coast Guard Cutter THETIS (Key West, Florida) for a year before attending Radarman “A” school in Yorktown, Virginia. Other assignments include Coast Guard Cutter SHERMAN (Alameda, California), Joint Task Force Four / Joint Inter-Agency Task Force East (Key West, Florida), Coast Guard Cutter RUSH (Honolulu, Hawaii), Radarman “A” school instructor (Yorktown, Virginia), Coast Guard Cutter JARVIS (Honolulu, Hawaii), Command Center Supervisor Sector St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg, Florida), Communications Area Master Station Pacific (Pt. Reyes, California), Command Center Watchstander Course Instructor (Yorktown, Virginia) and Command Senior Enlisted Leader C4IT Service Center (Alexandria, Virginia)
Master Chief Bach is a 2000 graduate of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers Academy Class LXXV, Senior Enlisted Leadership Course, Senior Joint Professional Military Education Course, Senior Enlisted Leader KEYSTONE course and is currently enrolled in Excelsior University in pursuit of a Bachelor of Art in Business Administration and Management.
Master Chief Bach’s awards include: Two Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, four Coast Guard Commendation Medals with “O” device, three Coast Guard Achievement Medals with “O” device, Coast Guard Meritorious Team Commendation and numerous other personal and service awards.
