Lance Wiser

Master Chief Lance Wiser assumed the duties as Command Master Chief, Sector Jacksonville, FL in July 2025. He is the Command Senior Enlisted Leader to over 500 Active duty and Reserve Coast Guard members and 14 subordinate units in Northeast FL.
Master Chief Wiser, a native of Warren, Connecticut, enlisted in the Coast Guard in 2002 at the age of 19. After graduating from Training Center Cape May, New Jersey, he reported to CGC FARALLON WPB-1301, Miami Beach, Florida. His subsequent tours include Station Cortez, Florida; Station San Juan Boat Force Detachment St Croix, US Virgin Islands; Operations Petty Officer CGC SEA HORSE WPB-87361 and Executive Petty Officer USCGC SHEARWATER WPB-87349, Portsmouth, Virginia; Officer in Charge Station Buffalo, New York, Officer in Charge Station San Juan, Puerto Rico, Officer in Charge Station Charleston, South Carolina, and Officer in Charge, Station Brant Point, Nantucket, MA.
Master Chief Wiser is a permanent Cutterman, Coxswain, Advanced Boat Forces, Pursuit and Tactical Coxswain, Boarding Officer and currently holds a 100-ton Captains license. His personal awards include a Meritorious Service Medal, four Coast Guard Commendation Medals, three Achievement Medals, three Commandant’s Letter of Commendations, seven Good Conduct medals and numerous other unit and personal citations. He is a proud graduate of Chief Petty Officer Academy Class 214, Boat Forces Command Cadre Ashore and Afloat and Senior Enlisted Command Course Class 89. He has earned an Associate’s degree in Small Group Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Studies from Purdue University Global.
