Sector Jacksonville is located at 10426 Alta Drive, Jacksonville, FL, 32226. The Sector Jacksonville Annex is located at 4200 Ocean Street, Atlantic Beach, FL, 32233.
Area of Responsibility:
The Sector Jacksonville Area of Responsibility (AOR) encompasses 40,000 square miles of ocean and inland waterways from the Crooked River in Georgia to Malabar, Florida, and includes 10 inlets to inland waterways. The inland waters within the AOR include 248 miles of the Intracoastal Waterway, 161 miles of the St. John’s River, and numerous rivers, creeks, and marshes.
Mission:
Within our AOR, Sector Jacksonville supports the execution of Coast Guard statutory missions in order to maintain maritime safety, security, and stewardship. Some of these missions include Search and Rescue, Aids to Navigation, Ports Waterways and Coastal Security, Marine Environmental Protection, and Living Marine Resources.

- Four Coast Guard Cutters: HAMMER, DIAMONDBACK, COHO, and SKIPJACK
- Two Aids to Navigation Teams (ANT): ANT Jacksonville Beach and ANT Ponce de Leon
- Marine Safety Unit Canaveral
Additional Details:
- The Port of Jacksonville functions as a Commercial Strategic Seaport with over 215,000 vessels
- Port Canaveral serves as the world’s busiest cruise ship port and the world’s busiest Space Port (as of 2025)
- Numerous other military installations exist within the Sector Jacksonville AOR including Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Florida Air National Guard, Navy Maritime Expeditionary Squadron 10 (MSRON 10), Naval Station Mayport, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Navy Region Southeast, NASA Kennedy Space Center, Patrick Space Force Base, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Space Launch Delta 45, and Naval Ordnance Testing Unit Port Canaveral
