Known as the Crossroads of South Texas, Victoria is situated near the Gulf Coast between the major cities of Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and Corpus Christi.  As a detachment from Sector Corpus Christi, our Area of Responsibility extends from Copano Bay in the south, to the Colorado River in the north and encompasses a wide variety of vital infrastructure and unique working environments including: a major shipping channel, a 35 mile long barge canal, over 70 miles of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, and the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge.

MSU Victoria is comprised of eight active duty members who perform essential marine safety missions such as foreign and domestic commercial vessel inspections, marine casualty investigations, facility inspections, and marine environmental response.
