Master Chief Wilcox enlisted in the Coast Guard on April 13th 2004, where he attended Recruit Training at Cape May, NJ graduating in Class Delta 168.
Master Chief Wilcox’s previous assignments include CG Station Oswego, NY, as Officer in Charge, CG Station Woods Hole, MA as Officer in Charge, CG Station Rochester, NY as Executive Petty Officer, CGC GANNET (WPB-87334) Fort Lauderdale, FL as Operations Petty Officer, Patrol Forces Southwest Asia (PATFORSWA) Manama, Bahrain as METT Instructor, CG Station Brunswick, GA as coxswain, Boatswain’s Mate “A” School Yorktown, VA and CGC LEGARE (WMEC-912) Portsmouth, VA.
Master Chief Wilcox’s personal awards include three CG Commendation Medals with Operational device, three CG Achievement Medals with Operational device, Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal, Commandant’s Letter of Commendation with Operational device, six Good Conduct Medals and multiple unit and service decorations. His qualifications include Command Afloat and Ashore (Multi-Mission), Cutterman insignia, Coxswain insignia, Advanced Boat Force Operations insignia, and Response Operations Ashore Insignia.
Master Chief Wilcox is a graduate of the Chief Petty Officer’s Academy, Class 258 and the Senior Enlisted Leadership Course, Class 103.
Master Chief Wilcox is a native of Fort Lauderdale, FL. He and his wife Emily have three children, Dylan (17), Christian (16) and Colin (4).
