COMMANDING OFFICER
CDR Steven M. Volk
Commander Steve Volk, a native of Robersonville, North Carolina, graduated from the United States Coast Guard Academy in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington.
A permanent cutterman, CDR Volk previously served aboard four cutters. He most recent afloat assignment as the Executive Officer aboard CGC BEAR (WMEC-901) in Portsmouth, VA. He has also served as Operations Officer aboard CGC DECISIVE (WMEC-629) in Pascagoula, MS, as Commanding Officer aboard CGC COBIA (WPB-87311) in Mobile, AL and finally as a Deck Watch Officer aboard CGC RELIANCE (WMEC-615) in Kittery, ME.
Ashore, CDR Volk serves as a Finance Officer with previous tours at Headquarters within CG-8, as the Comptroller of Base Miami Beach and finally most recently as the Comptroller of the Operational Logistics Command.
