USCGC SPENCER (WMEC 905)

CGC SpencerUSCGC SPENCER (WMEC 905) is one of six 270-foot Medium Endurance Cutters stationed out of Base Portsmouth, Virginia. SPENCER executes missions to include Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue, Living Marine Resource Protection, Homeland Security, and Defense Operations, International training, and humanitarian operations.

SPENCER has patrolled the offshore waters from Maine to Florida, the Gulf of Mexico, the Caribbean, Western Africa, and the Eastern Pacific.

It was refurbished by the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) and is now crewed by the former crew of USCGC LEGARE (WMEC 912) and in the process of departing SLEP.
