MARITIME SAFETY AND SECURITY TEAM MIAMI (91114)

Maritime Safety and Security Team Miami was commissioned in January of 2005. Since that time, the unit has developed a stellar reputation in military and law enforcement operations domestically and overseas. A Deployable Specialized Force operating under Coast Guard Atlantic Area, MSST Miami is trained, equipped, and frequently employed to conduct operations locally, support maritime security missions worldwide, and rapidly deploy in response to emergent threats or the needs of the country.

“To enhance the domestic maritime security capability of the United States… to safeguard the public and protect vessels, harbors, ports, facilities, and cargo in waters subject to the jurisdiction of the United States from destruction, loss or injury from crime, or sabotage due to terrorist activity, and to respond to such activity”.
