Mission:
Sector Jacksonville supports the execution of Coast Guard statutory missions within its Area of Responsibility.
Area of Responsibility (AOR):
The AOR encompasses 40,000 square miles of ocean and inland waterways. It spans 190 miles of coastline from Crooked River, Georgia to Malabar, Florida, including 10 inlets to inland waterways. Inland waters within the AOR include 248 miles of the Intracoastal Waterway, 161 miles of the St. John’s River, and numerous rivers, creeks, and marshes.

- Station Ponce de Leon Inlet
- Station Port Canaveral
- Four Coast Guard Cutters: HAMMER, DIAMONDBACK, COHO, and SKIPJACK
- Two Aids to Navigation Teams (ANT): ANT Jacksonville Beach and ANT Ponce de Leon
- Marine Safety Unit Canaveral
Responsibilities:
Sector Jacksonville oversees all Coast Guard missions in the Jacksonville Captain of the Port (COTP) zone and AOR, including Search and Rescue, Ports Waterways and Coastal Security, Marine Environmental Protection, and Aids to Navigation.

- Sector Jacksonville serves as the world’s busiest cruise ship port (as of 2025) and the world’s busiest Space Port.
- Sector Jacksonville is home to Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Naval Station Mayport, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Navy Region Southeast, NASA Kennedy Space Center, Patrick Space Force Base, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Space Launch Delta 45, and Naval Ordnance Testing Unit Port Canaveral
