Located on Matagorda Bay, the unit's primary mission is the maintenance and proper operation of aids to navigation from the Colorado River to Sundown Bay. ANT Port O'Connor supports maritime commerce through the Gulf Intercoastal Waterway and Matagorda Ship Channel.
