REAR ADMIRAL JONATHAN P. HICKEY

Rear Admiral Hickey assumed duty as the Ninth District Commander in April 2023. He is the senior Coast Guard Commander for the Great Lakes and Saint Lawrence Seaway, an area that encompasses eight states, a 1,500 mile international border, and a workforce of over 6,000 Coast Guard active duty, reserve, civilian and auxiliary men and women.

CAPTAIN BRAD W. KELLY

Captain Kelly serves under the District Commander to oversee all Coast Guard missions across the five Great Lakes and the Saint Lawrence Seaway. He also serves as the senior authority during absences of the District Commander.

MCPO CHRISTOPHER E. MULLINS

Master Chief Mullins is D9's senior enlisted member who advises the District Commander on enlisted military workforce policies, an advocate for military benefits and entitlements, enlisted mentor, and sounding board for select enlisted administrative actions.
