Coast Guard Station (small) Sackets Harbor History

Coast Guard Station (small) Sackets Harbor was established in 1874 as U.S. Life Saving Service Station #1, under the name "Big Sandy." It was located 9.5 miles south of Stoney Point Light on the north side of Big Sandy Creek in Lake Ontario.
