If you witness someone fall overboard, do NOT take your eyes off of them! Throw floatation devices out to them and yell "man overboard, port/starboard side!" while continuously pointing at them. The operator can then maneuver the vessel to recover the person in water.

The Coast Guard Band completed their Great Lakes summer tour Sunday in Cantigny Military Park in Wheaton, Illinois with a most entertaining performance in front of more than 1,100 people at the outdoor venue. Mixed in with a variety of instrumentals, marches and patriotic songs was a medley of popular Julie Andrew songs sung by extremely talented Petty Officer 1st Class Megan Weikleenget. Each year the Band tours a different Coast Guard district. Next year, they'll perform on the west coast in District 11.
