USCGC NEAH BAY (WTGB-105) History

 

CGC NEAH BAY (WTGB-105) is the fifth cutter in the 140 foot Bay Class of Icebreaking Tugs. Her keel was laid on August 6, 1979, was launched on February 16, 1980, and was commissioned on October 25, 1980. She was the replacement cutter for the 110' WYTM CGC KAW.

Neah Bay, after which the cutter is named, is a bay located within the state of Washington and bordered by Puget Sound.
