Commander Cuttie currently serves as the Executive Officer at Coast Guard Air Station Savannah, Georgia. He reported to Savannah in July of 2024 and served as the unit Operations Officer until July of 2025.

Commander Cuttie reported to Savannah after serving as the Coast Guard’s Deputy Senate Liaison in Washington, DC where he was responsible for coordinating Coast Guard support to United States Senators, their staff, and constituents.

Commander Cuttie’s previous tours of duty include Deck Watch Officer and Boarding Officer aboard USCGC GALLATIN, a 378-foot high endurance cutter based in Charleston, SC; Naval Flight Training in Pensacola, FL; Aircraft Commander at Air Station Port Angeles, WA; Airborne Use of Force Mission Commander, Instructor Pilot, and Flight Examiner at Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron (HITRON) Jacksonville, FL; Assistant Operations Officer at Air Station New Orleans, LA; and Rotary Wing Air Intercept Pilot operating both in defense of the National Capitol Region’s airspace and on numerous deployments supporting Presidential airspace security.

Commander Cuttie is a 2008 graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Management and is a 2024 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Master of Science in Operations Management.

Commander Cuttie’s military decorations include a Meritorious Service Medal, three Coast Guard Commendation Medals, the Humanitarian Service Medal, and various other personal and team awards.
