Command Master Chief

 

 

 

Master Chief Silvoy assumed the duties of Command Master Chief on June 5th 2020, and serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for all U.S. Coast Guard missions within Sector Charleston’s Area of Responsibility.

Master Chief Silvoy’s previous assignments include Officer in Charge, USCGC TACKLE, Rockland, ME; Executive Petty Officer of: USCGC JOSHUA APPLEBY, St. Petersburg, FL, USCGC ANVIL, Charleston, SC; and USCG Station Provincetown, Provincetown, MA.

Master Chief Silvoy holds an Associates of Science Degree from University of Maryland Global Campus, and is a distinguished graduate of the Chief Petty Officer’s Academy where he was awarded the Altus Tendo “Reach Higher” award in December 2014.

Originally from Laurel, MD Master Chief Silvoy enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in March 2003. His personal awards include Five Coast Guard Commendation Medals, Three Coast Guard Achievement Medals, and one Commandant’s Letter of Commendation Ribbon, all with the operational distinguishing device. In addition to various other personal and unit level awards, he wears the Officer in Charge Afloat and the Permanent Cutterman and Coxswain Insignia.
