PREVENTION DIVISION (dp)
The U.S. Coast Guard Great Lakes District's Prevention Division (dp) protects the public, our ports, the environment, and U.S. economic interests through the prevention and mitigation of maritime incidents. The Prevention Division's four branches focus on the prevention of deaths, injuries, and property damage associated with maritime transportation and commercial fishing.
