Chief Petty Officer Gaaron M. Blanchard originally hails from Stockbridge, GA and entered the Coast Guard in October 2010. He previously served as Executive Petty Officer of CG STA ST Joseph, MI. His previous units include USCGC DOLPHIN and USCGC MANOWAR as Operations Petty Officer in Mobile, AL, from 2021-2024, CG Marine Safety Detachment Peoria, IL, 2017-2021, CG STA Lake Charles, LA 2012-2017, BM-A School Yorktown, VA, 2012, and USCGC RESOLUTE, St. Petersburg, FL 2010-2012.
CPO Gaaron Blanchard received his initial Coxswain qualification on the 25812 and thereafter qualified on 7 different small boat platforms. CPO Blanchard is qualified as an Underway Officer of the Day on 87 WPB. BMC is also a graduate from Chief Petty Officer Academy Class 316 along with MLE Academy Boarding Officer school, and holds Tactical Coxswain, OPFOR, and Pursuit Crew certifications.
CPO Gaaron Blanchard’s personal awards include two CG Commendation Medals, Three CG Achievement Medal, four Commandant’s Letter of Commendation ribbons, Three good conduct awards, and various other unit and team awards. Additionally, He has earned his permanent Coxswain, and Advanced Boat Forces insignias.
